Celsius Tennis on the Ave with McEnroe and Wilander - Sensational!
February 21, 2011 - 3:56pmThe Celsius Tennis on the Ave featured Grand Slam champions and Hall of Famers John McEnroe & Mats Wilander playing tennis in the middle of the street on Atlantic Ave in the heart of downtown Delray Beach.
McEnroe Returns Wilander Serves Real People - Real Results

With Delray Beach mayor Woodie McDuffie in the umpire chair, the match was light hearted, fun, and filled with humorous banter from McEnroe and Wilander as they played in this unique setting. Celsius Tennis on the Ave kicks off the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships which features the World’s only combined ATP Champions Tour & ATP World Tour Event featuring tennis legends and ATP professionals.
Celsius’ local champions came out to support the Celsius team and enjoy the event. These customers came to life from Celsius’ website where they appear under a section titled “Real People – Real Results. “ Four local people, who have lost a combined total of over 200 pounds with Celsius and exercise, attended for fun and for interviews with the local media. They were enthusiastically sharing their stories throughout the crowd. One customer facebooked after the match, “ ..had a blast and it was great to meet the Celsius superstars behind the scenes!"
Wilander & McEnroe banter McEnroe Serves
Celsius Tennis on the Ave required special talents as this battle of the champions was filled with laughter as they struggled to keep volleys within the street lines, lobs out of the trees, and aces away from the crowd. Celsius was the presenting sponsor for spectacular Celsius Tennis on the Ave which was a crowd pleaser as they sipped Celsius while watching the match. Local radio station DJ’s promoted Celsius giveaways to the crowd that enjoyed an incredibly beautiful evening under twinkling lights.

The “Celsius Tennis on the Ave” event this Friday (Feb 18) will kick off the 2011 Delray Beach ITC.
The 2nd annual event begins at 5:30 pm and will have Grand Slam champions and Hall of Famers John McEnroe and Mats Wilander playing a match in the middle of Atlantic Avenue.
Delray Beach mayor Woodie McDuffie will be in the umpire chair and WJNO radio hosts Jim Edwards and Brian Mudd will be live on site. Hollywood - Walker/Fitzgibbon TV collaborated with Omni Advertising to direct and produce a national campaign for Celsius, a calorie burning drink. The campaign features TV personality Mario Lopez and shows his workouts, which keep him fit. "Celsius. It's what keeps Mario Moving," is the tag. Ads from the campaign have already appeared in Shape, Women's Health, On Fitness, Idea's Fitness Journal, and Muscle & Performance.

Team "Escape to Conch Republic" would like to thank you, Celsius, for your sponsorship. We couldn't have done it without you Celsius. Our team of 12 runners joined over 3,500 runners from all over the US in a relay that stretched from Miami to Key West, FL. Participating in an event whose motto is "all night long," we relied on Celsius drinks to energize us through the race. With each team member running 3 legs, we had a runner on the pavement for a constant 30 hours. Thank you!
Celsius Fuels Rugged Maniac Team

"We want to thank you again for your sponsorship. We had a blast. There were over 2500 participates from all over New England and we had a team of 19 who wore the Celsius shirts. This was the first Rugged Maniac event with more to come in the future. We are now starting to train for the Tough Mudder at Mt. Snow Vermont.
It is an 8 mile run with over 20 obstacles. The shirt color was perfect everyone could see us from the stands. People in the crowd were yelling "way to go Team Celsius - way to stick together". The entire team finished the race and the large group of us finished together in about 35 mins. The team was made up of the youngest being 21 and the oldest in his 50's. Only one other teammate had tried Celsius prior to the event. We had a pasta dinner the night before and gave out the cans and the next day at the race we drank them."

Mario Lopez Celebrates his Birthday With Celsius and Table Tennis!

This past Saturday, Celsius hosted a birthday party for friends and family of Mario Lopez. Mario and girlfriend, Courtney Mazza, enjoyed lots of table tennis, birthday cake and sharing the day with family as well as guests of The Americana at Brand in Glendale, where the event was held.
Highlights from the event include:
· In the table tennis face off between Courtney and Mario…Courtney won!
· Olympic ping pong athlete, Wei Wang, was on hand to show Mario how to improve his technique
· Mario got some help blowing out his birthday candles from girlfriend Courtney, his nieces and nephews and dog Julio!
· Mario and Courtney cutting the giant cake and handing out slices to the crowd
Mario said he was glad he drank his Celsius because he was surprised you could get such a good workout from table tennis (especially when you’re playing against an Olympian) and that he couldn’t wait to throw birthday parties for his new daughter, Gia.
Celsius' Own Delray Beach Selected as Finalist For Best Tennis Town!

The United States Tennis Association has selected Delray Beach as one of the ten finalists in its "Best Tennis Town" contest! The winner will be determined by a nationwide online vote and the City is seeking your support.
Vote for Delray Beach to be the 2010 "Best Tennis Town" at www.besttennistown.com between July 16, 2010 thru July 26, 2010, 11:59 am EST.
The winner will take home the 2010 "Best Tennis Town" title, an accompanying trophy and $100,000 to be used for community-wide tennis programming or facility enhancements. The 2nd and 3rd prize winners will receive $50,000 and $25,000, respectively, and seven honorable mention communities will each receive a $2,000 tennis equipment package.
